Meet the Amity Partners and Mediators
Jamie and Larry Williamson opened Amity Mediation Workshop, LLC in January 2016. Initially focused only on Divorce and Family Mediation, these married Amity Partners later expanded their mediation practice areas, which now include Divorce and Family Matters, Workplace Issues, HOA & Neighbor Conflicts, and Business Disputes.
The Williamsons established the Amity Center in August 2018 to provide married couples with a alternative to traditional marital therapy. A Gottman leader and Gottman trained counselor, Dr. Jamie Williamson delivers psycho-educational courses, workshops and individual relationship improvement sessions for couples who want to resolve current issues and restore the joy in their marriage.
Larry and Jamie met and married 20 years ago while they were both working at the University of West Florida in Pensacola. After successful careers and jobs that took them to 6 different states and to Washington DC, they joyfully returned home to Florida’s Emerald Coast and to create a meaningful personal and professionally life living along 30A in South Walton County.
The Williamsons started Amity Mediation Workshop, LLC out of a deep desire to use their experience and expertise to empower people to resolve the issues between them amicably, without the emotional and financial costs associated with protracted litigation or years of traditional therapy.
Their mission is to help people build agreements that serve their unique situation and goals. They strive to support and guide individuals as they work to settle their differences fairly and define for themselves the future of their relationships at home, at work, or in the neighborhood.
